Land Registry Compliant Maps

Compulsory registration of title in the Land Registry has now been extended to all counties in Ireland as of 1 June 2011 with the latest extension recently being made to include Dublin.

As of 1 June 2011 on the sale of “unregistered” freehold land or on the grant or sale of “unregistered” leasehold land, solicitors for the purchasers must apply for first registration of the title in the Land Registry in accordance with the Property Registration Authority rules. The impact of this for sellers of unregistered land will be that: They will need to hold a Land Registry Map of the property which is in compliance with Property Registration Authority mapping requirements.

Commercial Energy Ratings in addition to providing residential and commercial BER certs, can now provide Land Registry Maps in the Dublin area provided that the mapping of the land in question has been included in the ordnance survey maps. The process involves surveying the land and producing a registry compliant map with marked up boundaries.

We are currently offering this service in the Dublin area from €125+VAT. Our Surveyors are Qualified Engineers and are registered members of Engineers Ireland and we are fully covered by professional Indemnity insurance to provide this service.

If you require one of these maps please do not hesitate to contact us on 01-2983000 and we can make arrangements to conduct a survey of the site.
